la lleca colectiva in Mexico

Visual Storytelling program was conducted in collaboration with la lleca colectiva in Mexico City, and Sonia Mackwani, artist, educator, and healer. 

Participants explored visual re-framing of personal stories through the use of variety of visual media. The following methods have been used during the processes: grounding exercises, meditations, creative writing, group sharing, individual sharing, and creative work with art supplies.

Participants expressed themselves in the form of art installations, a performance, videos, collages, written pieces and embroidery. 

Themes explored during the workshops: grief, body, loss, violence, mental health, personal vs. public space, activism, safety, motherhood, body, physical and emotional boundaries.
