Rapta Terra
Art project focused on women survivors of
sexual violence during war time
RAPTA TERRA returned for a second installation on November 16 at Safe Space Book store.
Local and international artists exhibited artworks that addressed the use of sexual violence as a weapon of war. RAPTA TERRA is a safe space that honours women who have suffered sexual abuse and violence in times of war.
The project is initiated and organised by artists and activists Thais Duarte and Monica Mills, who have created RAPTA TERRA as an artistic initiative to highlight the very real issue of violent war crimes against women and to bring it to the forefront of global discussion.
